Description
Hollingdean MRF was built in 2009, the facilities handle and recycle a range of materials including newspapers and magazines, cardboard, food and drinks cans and plastic bottles. After recycling separation, the materials are sorted and sent on for reprocessing. On the tour you will see the materials being separated by our line operators, and also the machinery that is included in the production. This includes the Bag Splitter, Trommel, Disk Screen and Baler. Event not suitable for children under the age of 7.

Additional information
Max 12 people per tour/session. Please be advised that we are unable to offer site visits to the MRF to anyone who has medical implants such as an implantable cardio converter defibrillator (pacemaker) as these may be affected by the eddy currents and electro-magnets used on site. There will be an induction where visitors will be issued with protective equipment (hard hat, eye protection etc). Please wear sensible footwear - no high heels or open toes please. Tours will last just over an hour.
