BHOD 13 - Development of North Laine as Brighton’s Industrial and Commercial Suburb

Description - Join Peter Crowhurst, chair of the North Laine Community Association, for a 2-hour walk which traces the development of the North Laine into Brighton's industrial and commercial suburb during the 19th century. The walk begins outside the main entrance to Brighton Museum and then proceeds through the North Laine ending in the Gloucester Road area. The North Laine today is a conservation area and still retains many of the features of a Victorian town.
