The Brighton History Centre offers a wide range of materials that could be of invaluable use to anyone carrying family or local history research. They have historical maps, street directories, electoral registers, newspapers, theatre programmes, periodicals and parish records. They also have free access to the website Ancestry.co.uk, from which you can access nation-wide census returns and an index to births, marriages and deaths.
