Covid-19, guidelines for visitors

updated 15th July, 2021

To make the Town House as safe as possible for our visitors, staff and volunteers we have decided to keep most measures in place following 19th July 2021.

BE SAFE - if you or a member of your household have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms within the past 14 days, DO NOT VISIT THE TOWN HOUSE.

What we have done

  • Hand sanitizer is available in key locations
  • All shared spaces and equipment will be thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis
  • Staff and volunteers will be provided with appropriate PPE
  • We will keep rooms well ventilated
  • Only one event will take place at a time in the building
  • Contact details will be collected for NHS test and trace
  • The number of attendees in each room has been limited

During your visit

  • Use the hand sanitization station on entry to the building
  • Wear face coverings throughout your visit
  • Leave your contact details for NHS test and trace
  • Follow the latest Government guidance
  • Observe safe room limits
  • Touch as little as possible inside the building
  • Keep your personal items close to you and avoid other people touching them
  • Keep to the left when moving around and follow routing or other instructions
  • A one-way system may be implemented around the building, instructions will be available

In addition, for ticketed events…

  • Book your ticket before you arrive
  • Arrive within your allocated time window or we cannot guarantee you entry
  • You may be required to queue outside for a short period to ensure social distancing

We will be limiting the number of people allowed into each room and the building itself, so you may need to wait for short periods during busy times.

In addition, for volunteers…

  • Use the hand sanitization station on entry to the building and regularly thereafter
  • Leave your contact details for NHS test and trace
  • Maintain a safe distance from visitors and staff and refrain from touching surfaces
  • Keep meeting rooms well ventilated
  • Use hygiene screens when working on shared tables
  • Work side-by-side or back-to-back rather than face-to-face
  • Sanitize your workspace and equipment when you leave
  • Do not share equipment
  • Observe safe room limits
  • Work from home where possible!
