Description
This Grade II listed building is the home of a large residential community of people all striving to practice Buddha's teachings in every day life. The Centre was established in 1992 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Spiritual director of the New Kadampa Tradition. He has appointed a representative Gen Kelsang Chodor, a Buddhist monk, to give regular teachings and run the activities of the Centre. The Centre houses two beautiful shrine rooms and the largest statue of Buddha in East Sussex. Visitors can use the meditation rooms for personal contemplation, prayer and meditation, relax in the peace garden, browse through our Buddhist bookshop and visit our World Peace Cafe. All welcome.
